Village of Maryville, Illinois

Description public hearing #4 - changes in zoning code
Date7/7/2004 Location Council Chamber
Time Speaker Note
6:55:07 PM Gulledge Called the July 7, 2004 public hearing concerning changes in the Zoning Code to order. He said this hearing is to discuss proposed changes to the Village of Maryville Zoning Codes. He asked Attorney Wigginton to discuss the proposed changes.
6:55:35 PM Wigginton Explained that this amendment to the Zoning Code will eliminate MR-2 and MR-1 as permitted uses in B-1. He said in layman's terms, this will eliminate multi-family housing in a business district. Business districts will be 'stand alone' and will only be allowed for businesses, not for residential or multi-family areas. This proposed change has been before the Board, and subject to public discussion previously. It has also gone through the Planning Commission on June 28, 2004 at a public hearing. The Planning Commission recommended this ordinance without any changes.
6:56:26 PM Gulledge Asked if there were any questions or comments. There were none.
6:56:46 PM Gulledge Closed the hearing.

Respectfully submitted,

Thelma Long, Village Clerk
