6:30:06 PM Gulledge Called the public hearing of July 21, 2004 to order. He explained the hearing is to discuss the 2004-2005 Appropriations for the Village of Maryville. The ordinance has been, and is still available for public inspection. He read the totals for each department as follows: Fire Department - $467,500.00; Police Department - $1,121,800.00; Administrative Department -$362,600.00; Legal Department - $100,000.00; Buildings - $521,900.00; Streets and Alleys - $956,700.00; Public Comfort Facilities - $118,000.00; Parks and Recreation - $834,200.00; Insurance - $379,000.00; Cemetery - $87,500.00; Health Department - $52,800.00; Social Security - $125,000.00; IMRF and/or Retirement - $225,000.00; Street Lighting $50,000.00; Building & Zoning - $152,300.00; Economic Development & Tourism - $28,800.00; Contingencies - $150,000.00, for a grand total appropriated of $5,733,100.00. He said an appropriation ordinance simply sets the legal limits for spending for the Village of Maryville. It is not a budget. He opened the hearing for questions or comments. There were no questions or comments.
