Village of Maryville, Illinois

Description Public Hearing #1- Amend Zoning Ord - Recreational Vehicles
Date6/1/2005 Location Council Chamber
Time Speaker Note
6:30:20 PM Gulledge Called the first pub hearing of Wednesday, June 1, 2005 to order. There were six (6) persons in attendance. He explained the purpose of the hearing is to entertain questions, answers, or comments in reference to the Village of Maryville Board of Trustees addressing a possible amendment to the Zoning Ordinance concerning recreational vehicles, trailers, boats, etc. He asked if anyone wanted to address the Board concerning the proposed amending of the Zoning Ordinance. At this time he read a letter from Doug Keene stating his concerns in this matter. A copy of the letter is attached to these minutes.
6:33:10 PM Gulledge He asked if there were any other questions or comments.
6:33:20 PM Bell  908 Robert Drive, Maryville, discussed Keene's concern about what side of the house. Some houses don't have a garage, so they can't say the "garage side" of the house. He said on corner lots they want it to be away from the corner where the street is.
6:34:01 PM Gulledge Commented that he doesn't think Keene had any invalid points. They are all things that the Board needs to consider before they do anything with the ordinance.
6:34:30 PM Kostyshock 135 West Perry, Maryville, commented that Attorney Wigginton brought up some good points they should consider. He thinks the Board should hold off passing the ordinance until it can be discussed further.
6:35:00 PM Gulledge Replied that it is not ready to be passed tonight. He said he agreed with Kostyshock, and he has given each trustee a copy of Attorney Wigginton's comments. He asked if there were any other questions or comments. There were none.
6:35:41 PM Gulledge Closed the hearing.

Respectfully submitted,

Thelma Long, Village Clerk
