Village of Maryville, Illinois

Description Public Hearing #1 - Change in Subdivision Code
Date9/7/2005 Location
Time Speaker Note
6:12:49 PM Gulledge Called the first public hearing of Wednesday, September 7, 2005 to order. He explained the purpose of the hearing is to discuss a proposed change in the Subdivision Code, Section 154, which would require siding on the foundation walls of all new buildings to within twelve (12) inches of the surface of the ground. He cited the example of the new Reindeer Forest subdivision in Collinsville, where structures have high, exposed concrete walls. He explained the purpose of the ordinance was to make sure this does not occur in the Village. He opened the hearing to the public for questions or comments.
6:14:09 PM   A citizen asked if existing structures would need to be covered.
6:14:26 PM Gulledge Answered no, this ordinance strictly pertains to new construction. He then asked for further questions or comments from the public or the board. There were none. He closed the hearing.

Respectfully submitted,

Thelma Long, Village Clerk
