7:00:10 PM Gulledge Called the Board meeting of Wednesday, February 15, 2006 to order and asked those in attendance to join in the Pledge of Allegiance. After the Pledge, he asked for a roll of those officers present. Answering the roll call were Trustees Limberg, Schmidt, Callahan, Kostyshock and Garcia. Trustee Bell was not in attendance, as he was ill. Also in attendance were Clerk Long, Fire Chief/Zoning Administrator Flaugher, Public Safety Officer Jones, Police Chief Schardan and three (3) reporters. Attorney Wigginton arrived later.
7:01:11 PM Gulledge Called for approval of the February 1st minutes. He asked if there were any questions, additions or subtractions to the minutes as prepared by the Clerk. There were none. Motion to approve was made by Kostyshock and seconded by Schmidt. Voting on the motion: Limberg - yes; Schmidt - yes; Callahan - yes; Kostyshock - yes; Garcia - yes. Motion carried.
7:01:38 PM Gulledge Called for approval of the bills submitted for payment. He asked if there were any questions, additions or subtractions to the bills. There were none. Motion to pay was made by Kostyshock and seconded by Schmidt. Voting on the motion: Limberg - yes; Schmidt - yes; Callahan - yes; Kostyshock - yes; Garcia - yes. Motion carried.
7:02:17 PM Gulledge Went to Communications. There were none. Went to Legal Matters. There were none. Went to Old Business. There was none.
7:02:56 PM Gulledge Went to New Business and Trustee Comments.
7:03:14 PM Gulledge Commented on behalf of Bell to make sure the Art and Photo Contest shows on the calendar for the benefit of the media.
7:03:34 PM Gulledge Went to Calendar Updates.
7:03:46 PM Wigginton Arrived and was seated.
7:03:57 PM Gulledge Commented the Art/Photo Contest is scheduled for March 5 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Senior's Building. In case of inclement weather, the contest will be rescheduled for March 12. Commented the Economic Development Committee meeting is scheduled for March 13 at 7:00 p.m.
7:04:58 PM Flaugher Commented that on March 25 there will be a Fire Department Chicken and Beer Dance at the Collinsville VFW at 7:00 p.m.
7:05:09 PM Gulledge Went to Staff Reports. There were none.
7:05:31 PM Gulledge Went to Business from the floor and invited anyone in attendance to address the Board. There was no business from the floor. Went to Mayor's comments. Discussed the newsletter, saying articles are due no later than next Wednesday evening at the close of the Caucus meeting. Stated they are getting closer on finishing the Outreach Center. Stated they will be painting Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. Commented the previous date of Valentine's Day was not a good choice, as not many volunteers attended. Stated if they are not finished, they will try again on Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. Stated most of the Department Heads have picked up their budget packets and are working on it. Stated they are trying to follow the format example given to the Village from a neighboring community that has done it for a number of years. Stated they are trying to get the budget to a workable format before they bring it to the Board. Encouraged anyone who had not yet picked up their packet to see Jolene Henry or Marvin Brussatti to obtain it. Stated Monday, February 20 the Village Hall will be closed in observance of President's Day. Commented about people asking him if they could hold a Town Hall Meeting maybe once or twice or year. Stated they had them a number of years ago. Asked the Board to think about it between now and the next Caucus meeting, so they can discuss it further. With no further business to come before the meeting, called for a motion to adjourn. Motion was made by Schmidt and seconded by Garcia. Voting on the motion: Limberg - yes; Schmidt - yes; Callahan - yes; Kostyshock - yes; Garcia -yes. Motion carried.
