6:50:12 PM Gulledge Called the Public Hearing of Wednesday, July 3, 2007 to order.  There were twelve (12) persons in attendance.  He explained the purpose of the hearing is to discuss a request for rezoning of the Tottleben/Presson property from SR1 to PDR. Stated the property is located at 2210 Williams Street, Maryville, Illinois. Stated the requested zoning change is from SR-1, Single Family, to PDR, Planned Development Residential. Opened the Hearing to the public for questions or comments. Explained the Building and Zoning Administrator is in attendance to field questions, as Mayor was not in attendance at the meeting.
6:51:15 PM Carolyn Smith 2204 Williams. Asked what position the buildings will be in, i.e., will they face the street or face the back of the lots. Also stated she would like a privacy fence installed on their property for security from children, as she comes and goes a lot and does not want to be sued for a child falling out of her trees.
6:52:14 PM Gulledge Stated he would find an answer for her. Thanked her for her comments. Invited Flaugher to make a comment.
6:52:24 PM Kevin Flaugher Maryville Building and Zoning Administrator, 15 Northwood, Maryville. Reiterated this hearing is strictly for the re-zoning of the property. Stated once the property is re-zoned or the developer submits a plan, it will go back through the Planning Commission and to the Board for approval. Stated at that time they will be better able to answer such questions. Stated there has been no plan submitted to the Village as yet. Commented Ms. Smith was at the first public hearing, and Mr. Presson had a concept plan, which she saw. Stated at that time she expressed the same concerns as she has tonight. Stated Presson stated he understood her concerns and indicated they would work the best they could with her.
6:53:24 PM Gulledge Ask for other questions or comments. Reiterated Flaugher comments to Ms. Smith that this is a hearing only for re-zoning. Explained PDR zoning in Maryville is very restrictive. Explained the Planning Commission meetings are normally the fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Asked for other questions or comments. There were none.
