6:30:05 PM Gulledge Called the Caucus Meeting to order, Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Invited all in attendance to stand and join in the Pledge of Allegiance.
6:30:35 PM Gulledge Asked for a roll call of those officers present. Answering the roll call were Trustees Vallino, Schmidt, and Kostyshock. Absent from the roll call were Trustees Bell, Garcia, and Short. Also in attendance were Deputy Clerk Lucas, Attorney Motil, Public Works Director Presson, Chief Carpenter, 1 reporter, and 1 guest.
6:30:50 PM Gulledge Called for the approval of the minutes of the April 30, 2014 Caucus Meeting. Asked if there were any questions, additions or subtractions to the minutes as prepared by the Deputy Clerk. There were none. Motion to approve the minutes was made by Schmidt and seconded by Vallino. Roll call vote on the motion: Vallino - yes, Schmidt - yes, Kostyshock - yes. Motion carried.
6:31:24 PM Gulledge Agenda Item 5: Mr. Ron Jachino, 32 Dogwood Terrace - Mr. Jachino was not present at the meeting.
6:31:38 PM Gulledge Agenda Item 6: LIVESCAN Computer Replacement
6:31:48 PM Carpenter Stated the LIVESCAN Computer (Booking Computer/ Scanner) enables the Police Department to scan fingerprints in a tracking data base. The current LIVESCAN Computer was purchased in 2005 and is now out of date and not able to run on the new Window's Operating System. Bids were taken. Carpenter recommends ID Networks for the total cost of replacing the LIVESCAN Computer system of $6,365.00.
6:33:29 PM Gulledge The LIVESCAN Computer is necessary for day to day operations in the Police Department and should be replaced.
6:34:24 PM Gulledge Asked for questions or concerns regarding the LIVESCAN Computer replacement. There were none. Stated he would like to go ahead and order the replacement computer if the Board was ok with doing so. All approved. Ok to place on the next Board Meeting agenda for approval.
6:35:53 PM Gulledge Chief Carpenter has requested an emergency repair to the 2012 Impala for repairs to replace the alternator. Stated he had authorized the repairs to be made and wanted to inform the Board of his actions.
6:36:32 PM Gulledge Agenda Item 7: Public Works Summer Help (Total of 2240 hours)
6:36:48 PM Presson Stated he had reviewed this year's applications for seasonal summer help and will provided the Board with a list of names in the following week. Stated the summer help is needed to complete all the projects that are planned during the summer months.
6:37:34 PM Gulledge The cost to hire this year's summer help should stay around the same as last year or may be less.
6:38:06 PM Gulledge Asked for questions or concerns about hiring summer help for the Public Works Department. There was none. Ok to place on the next Board Meeting agenda for approval.
6:38:19 PM Gulledge Agenda Item 8: Pay Application #5 for Tindall Construction for the Public Works/Fire Storage Building.
6:38:29 PM Presson Pay Applicaition #5 is for work completed at the Water Tower Storage Building. Work is 80% complete. Recommends paying Pay Application #5 in the amount of $30,791.88.
6:39:08 PM Gulledge Asked for questions or concerns regarding the recommendation to pay Pay Application #5 to Tindall Construction. There were none. Ok to place on the next Board Meeting agenda for approval.
6:39:21 PM Gulledge Agenda Item 9: Park Committee Recommendation (Movie in the Park)
6:39:23 PM Gulledge The Park Committee is recommending hiring a high school student to help show the 4 movies in the park at a pay of $60.00 per movie. Discussion followed. Asked for questions regarding the recommendation. There were none. Ok to place on the next Board Meeting agenda for approval.
6:41:30 PM Gulledge Agenda Item 10: Request for "Cheering Up A Sweat" 5K & 10K Run/Walk on June 28, 2014.
6:41:52 PM Frisbee Eric Frisbee, 1009 Meadow Lake Dr., Maryville. The "Cheering Up A Sweat" 5K &10K will be held on June 28, 2014 and will be the third race sponsored to support the Collinsville Cheerleading squad. The course will be same as last year with effort to keep people safe on Route 159. Parking issues are being addressed and it is recommended to all those who are participating to carpool to the event.
6:43:28 PM Gulledge Asked for questions or comments regarding the "Cheering Up A Sweat" 5K & 10K. There were none. Ok to place on the next Board Meeting agenda for approval.
6:45:49 PM Gulledge Agenda Item 11: Calendar Updates - Discussed upcoming events for May and June.

6:49:34 PM Vallino The Village grounds are looking better with the grass cut.
6:50:38 PM Schmidt Asked if the dead trees at the cemetery were going to be removed? Gulledge stated it would be discussed in the next Public Works meeting.
6:53:05 PM Schmidt The second Troy/ Maryville/St. Jacob/ Marine Chamber mailing has been mailed and residents should be getting them in the next day or two.
6:53:29 PM Kostyshock Glad the cemetery was added to this year's grass cutting contract. The Village streets will take a lot of work to repair after the long winter but the Public Works Department will get them fixed.
6:54:27 PM Gulledge Agenda Item 15: Mayor Comments
6:54:29 PM Gulledge The Village cleanup day had a good turn out and was able to complete a good amount of cleanup in Drost Park. A second cleanup day will need to be scheduled at Fred Winters park in order to get it ready to open. Stated he has received several positive reviews about Fred Winters Park.
6:56:42 PM Gulledge There being no further business to come before the meeting, called for a motion to adjourn. Motion by Schmidt and seconded by Vallino. Roll call vote on the motion: Vallino - yes, Schmidt - yes, Kostyshock - yes. Motion carried.
6:57:03 PM Gulledge Meeting adjourned.
